Petalflight crouched at the edge of the pond, eyes watching the darting fish. If her fur hadn't been moving, you could have thought she was a statue. Suddenly she lashed out and snatched a fish and killed it swiftly with a bite to the head. She purred, satisfied, and trotted off to camp.

Barkfoot stalked through the grass, his tail tip twitching in agitation. He had had an argument with another cat in camp and he wasn't in the best of moods.

The siamese tom lumbered cheerfully up, his brown, feathery tail waving in the wind, blue eyes glittering as he prowled through the grass. "Hi barkfoot," he meowed in a light voice.

Barkfoot whipped around and looked at the other tom. He sighed. He was mad at one cat only, not this one. "Hello," he meowed and sat down.

Ashtail stood gazing at her leader for a moment, then added, "Also, Leafheart was wondering about somthing. She wants to speak to you back at camp, but she didn't tell me what she wanted to talk about... I'll go get some food before the protrol heads out. Goodbye!" she waited for her leader to nodd approvinly before she bounded away into the tall grass.
