Nightshadow looked up at the slightly cloudly sky and sighed. She wished she could have stayed in LightClan with her brother. The black she-cat looked down at the ground, remembering how her father had taken her from her mother and brothers before she was an apprentice and brought her here. She was almost happy, for a while. Her father died in a battle about a moon after Nightshadow had come to this Clan. The black she-cat sighed heavily.

"Something nagging you, Nightshadow?" Spoke the black and white tom, his temperate blue eyes looking over the warrior as he padded up, just in time to see a distant look in her eyes and hear her sigh.

Nightshadow looked over at Thunderstar as he walked up. She shook her head. "Nothing new, just my father," she meowed softly.

(Okay. I put up a fanfics board for you then. )
Thunderstar's folded ears twitched backwards a tad at this reply. He himself didn't know much about Nightshadow's family, other than the tom she spoke of had brought her to live here when she was very young. He couldn't possibly imagine what his warrior was thinking on the subject. "Anything I can do to help?"

"Not unless you can bring my brothers back from the dead," Nightshadow meowed. Before she even came to this Clan, her father had told her to say her mother had drowned trying to save her kits from the river they had fallen into. According to the story, her two brothers drowned and Nightshadow was the only survivor.

Whiskers arching forwards, Thunderstar curled his tail around his paws. "I'm sorry, Nightshadow, but they hunt along Silverpelt now." His own father, Pierceclaw, was also dead now, hunting with Starclan and watching over his old home.
(nvm. I don't need to edit the post)

Nightshadow sighed again and looked down at her paws. She became lost in her own thoughts, thinking of the happy times shared with her brothers in the nursery in BoulderClan and the not-so-happy ones seperated from Whitechest and Blueheart.

'You must have been closer than most littermates," Thunderstar ventured, sliding his paws out from under him to glide gently on the grassy floor.

"We were very close," Nightshadow meowed softly.

Tail-tip twitching, Thunderstar lifted himself up from his paws. "The fresh-kill pilte is low," he meowed, tail flicking in the direction of the small pile. "Want to come hunt with me?" Thunderstar couldn't do anything about the she-cat's sorrow, but maybe the pain would be eased if she had her mind on something else for awhile.
(I have to go! I might be back later on today)

"Sure," Nightshadow meowed softly. She stood up and trotted lightly out of camp.

He nodded curtly and turned around, following her out of camp and soon brushing up beside her, his snout delicately sniffing the air. "You want to try Frishpond?" He asked, ears twisting forwards and back, hoping to catch the sound of prey nearby.

Nightshadow shrugged. "Sure," she meowed. She turned for Fishpond, her black tail swishing slowly behind her.
