Elmpaw bounded through the flowers. She turned around and batted at the waving stems she left in her wake. The white apprentice giggled and rolled on her back, swatting at falling petal and floating seeds that had broke off of their flowers and were seeking new places to grow. She laughed and returned to bound, unaware of the cat stalking up behind her...
Mahoganypaw snuck through the flowers towards his sister. His black pelt allowed him to blend into the shadows. He crept foreward some more and launched himself at Elmpaw.
Elmpaw yowled in surprise. She turned to Mahoganypaw, ready to fight and the hissed softly. She sheathed her claws and narrowed her eyes. "Don't you ever do that again," she growled, trying to calm herself.

then both apprentices turned when they heard someone coming towrds them. Then they saw Ashtail come out of the flowers. "Hey you guys! Whatcha doing out here?" she asked in her friendly voice.
"um, just playing." they answered.
"oh, um yes, i was wondering if you two wanted to go on the dawn partol with me. if so, then ill meet you in the morning, bright and early!" she said as she playfully swatted a flower.

"Bright and early?" Mahoganypaw meowed uneasily.
"Bright and early!" Elmpaw meowed cheerily, covering her brother's mouth with her tail. "We'll be there," she promised.
"Woul' you be sho kin' af to ge' your tail outta ma mouf?" Mahoganypaw asked through a mouthful of fur.
"If you say so," Elmpaw meowed with a shrug. She removed her tail from Mahoganypaw's face and sat down, swatting at the head of a daisy.

Ashtail laughed and nodded encouragingly to them and then dissapeared into the flowers as the sun strated to set.
